Dog: Paradise's Simply Sinful

Story:
Rosie slipped the slip lead over Flirt's head and led her out of her crate. Flirt stretched and yawned, then shook, and looked up at Rosie and wagged her tail, as if to say, "I know it! I get to show soon!!!" Rosie patted the low table a few times, then said, "Up, Up!" Flirt hopped onto the table and let Rosie start grooming her. Rosie washed her legs with whitening shampoo, then blew dryed them out. She sprayed some coat conditioner onto her back, then put the lead on. She grabbed some steak that they had saved from dinner last night, put the number on her arm, then let Flirt out of the noose and let her jump down. "Good girl!" she said, grabbing a fuzzy toy to take into the ring with her.

As they arived at the ring, the other Pointer was also ariving. The owner was one of Paradise Kennels English Pointer affiliates, and Rosie recognized the handler. She smiled a greeting and sat down by the ring to wait for Pointers to go in.
The puppy class was called in, and Rosie led Flirt into the ring. She kneeled down and handstacked her, as the judge walked over. "Around the ring, please," the judge said to her, watching Flirt as Rosie gathered up her lead. As they went around the large ring, Rosie smiled at Flirt's excellent movement, one of the many things Rosie had loved about Flirt since she was a puppy. She slowed down and led Flirt up to stack up in front of the table. The judge went over to Flirt and examined her, while she stood perfectly, like a seasoned show dog. The judge slightly smiled, then asked Rosie to bring Flirt on a down and back. Rosie once again gathered up her lead and went on the down and back. The judged turned to the judge's table and marked in her book as she said, "You're #1," then handed Rosie the ribbon.
The ring steward called in the other English Pointer bitch, then the judge followed the same routine with that dog. After the other class was finished, Rosie was called to bring Flirt back in the ring. Rosie slightly sighed nervously and gave Flirt a pat. 'It's now or never!' Rose thought to herself.
