Hey everyone!  After not even thinking about DARPG or even dA for months, I actually have some time to log on and catch up on my thousands and thousands of uploads.  I am really looking forward to seeing everyone's improvements.  <3

I may try to get back into things, even if it is minimal.  Everything is pretty much the same with me, busy busy busy!  Other than dog shows and moving, I just got a job at our local Petsmart in the grooming salon, and so far I really enjoy it!

Anyway, I just thought I'd say hi to ya'll!  <3  Hope everything has been well.

Ugh why are people so hard headed now?!  Why can't people get over abusive training methods?!  Why can't people learn to actually read their pet's body language?!  Why are people and veterinarians so eager to sterilize pets at an abnormally young age?!  I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!!

EDUCATE YOURSELVES PEOPLE!!!!

I just took this certification test thinggy for 4H animal exhibitors and they're telling people that you should have your dog fixed before 5 months of age, and that some veterinarians like to do it at 2 months of age!!!    REALLY PEOPLE?!?!  OUR PUPPIES DON'T EVEN GO TO THEIR NEW HOMES UNTIL 12 WEEKS OF AGE!!!!  How do people expect their pets to grow and mature normally without any hormones?!  Sure you might reduce the risk of mammary cancer by fixing that early (which they claim, but I have my doubts and would have to do my own research on that), however you are opening up SO MANY MORE health risks including other cancers by doing so!

I am not even going to go into the whole training and body language thing I mentioned above...

For the first time since coming back from NYC for Westminster, I finally have a chance to tell you about how we did!  We had a blast, and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.  Lexie showed the best she's ever shown for me, and I don't think we could have done any better.  We made the one and only cut, so we did incredibly well!  I figure we made it to the top 20 of 90 entries all which were fabulous handlers.  Like seriously, the judge could have pointed to any one of the kids and I would not have disagreed.

Anyway, now that that is over, as soon as we got home, we finished packing up our house to move back to IL.  It feels so good to be back here and not living in a tiny house!  The only hard part is that we now have 2 houses of stuff in one house, so we'll just have to put on a really epic garage sale. 

Anyway, that's all the updates I have for now....I did go to a dog show this weekend in Chicago, and I happened to see some Pointer friends of mine that I REALLY want a dog from.  Now that we are living in a normal size house, I am going to try to convince my mom to let me get a puppy this fall/winter.
